About The Miami Heat
The Miami Heat's struggles in the team's short history are a study in the importance of chemistry when trying to build a championship caliber team. Established in 1988 as an NBA expansion team, the Heat have had a parade of great players. They just never had great players who complimented each other on the court.
While excitement at the new team resulted in strong sales of Miami Heat tickets, those fans who showed up for the games were disappointed. The record in the inaugural season for the expansion team was an abysmal 15-67. There were two major reasons for this embarrassing result. The first was team composition. As an expansion team, the Heat consisted of raw talent straight out of college in a year with a somewhat weak draft and experienced but lackluster journeymen. In short, they lacked a superstar in a league where that is a fatal flaw. To compound matters, the Heat were surprisingly placed in the Western Conference, making their away game travel longer and more arduous than any other team in the league.
In the Heat's second year, they acquired the fourth pick in the draft and gained their first superstar - Glen Rice. Certainly in the top three and arguably number one among long range shooters, Rice brought scoring power to the team. Bad personnel decisions led to a lackluster performance the following season as well since Rice alone could not carry the team. Read More

In the 1991 draft, the Heat made a decision typical of the club's early management and drafted Steve Smith, essentially a slower and less accurate Glen Rice. Later, as Heat fans' mouths watered at the news that Alonzo Mourning, the perfect complement to Rice, was seeking a new home, Glen Rice was traded FOR Mourning. During this stretch, cheap Heat tickets were a joke as many wouldn't have accepted free tickets.
Why do fans rush to queenbeetickets.com to take advantage of Miami Heat tickets for sale when there was a time that even cheap Heat tickets held no interest for anyone? Because today's Heat is nothing like Heat teams of the past.
Such decisions held the Heat back until their first unmitigated and completely correct decision, in the 2003 draft, they selected Dwyane Wade. A versatile and active guard with a rapidly developing knack for performing impossible feats around the rim that had people whispering "like Jordan...", Wade showed that he was just one great teammate from the top when he won a championship with a Shaquille O'neil on the last gasp of his career.
Shaq is gone, but Wade now has another great teammate in LeBron James. There is only one word to really describe James - Freak! As fast as a point guard and as big and strong as a power forward, it is no surprise that the addition of James to the team has people lining up for Miami Heat tickets for sale.
The best way to see in person what this new Heat is all about is to get Miami Heat tickets at queenbeetickets.com.
